The full integration with Connect (including sub-conferencing in Breakout Rooms etc.) can be achieved using Meeting One, Intercall and Arkadin. Note that PGi has an integration with Connect but as they have been removed as a Connect reseller the integration seems unlikely to be maintained in the future so I suggest one of the other services is a better option.
The key with answering whether or not Connect can integrate with any other conferencing service is to determine whether the service can be accessed by a Toll-Free number (usually 1 800 etc.). Connect needs to be able to ‘dial-in’ to the conference from the meeting room/server in order to either start the conference or to dial-in as a participant.
To integrate, Connect essentially repeats the process you would dial using a regular phone such as:
- Dial 1 800 123456…
- Then wait for 2 seconds…
- Then enter the host come followed by ‘#’…
- etc…
Connect just recreates this process from the server.
The key is that it has to be a toll-free number and not a regular number. With a regular number the bill is charged back to the originator as it does on your home phone. There is no way to use a regular toll number with Connect as the phone company has no way to bill the Connect server. Hence Connect requires a toll-free number.
If your conferencing service allows a user to phone in using a toll-free number then it should be fine to integrate with Connect.
