If you have purchased a Burst Pack for your account, you essentially have an ‘overdraft’ that allows you to exceed the capacity of your meeting rooms temporarily.
The Burst Packs are sold in packs of 5,000 minutes and they are used in a linear manner as additional people join your session. If you have a Named Host room allowing 100 people and 105 people turn up for a 1 hour session you will have used 5×60 minutes so 300 minutes will be debited from your Burst Pack total.
You can see your current running total from the ‘Account Summary’ page under the ‘Administration’>’Account’ area and in the ‘Meetings’ section (Figure 1 – note that I do not have Burst Packs enabled on my account).
Note – It is very possible that the numbers after the Burst Pack Minutes’ line will be huge, in the millions of minutes. Don’t panic! All that matters is the difference between the used and purchased numbers and that is shown in the line below after ‘Balance’. The huge numbers are a reflection of an issue with accounting of minutes that was fixed in an earlier version of Connect but was never ‘zeroed’.

You can also get a deeper dive into usage from the ‘Reports’ tab. Select ‘System Usage’ and then from the drop-down menu select ‘Burst Pack Usage (Figure 2).

You can filter by a date-range (the past week for example) and then select ‘Next’. Note that data in the ‘Reports’ tab can be delayed by up to a day so do not expect to see reports from the last 24 hours.
The report can be filtered by ‘Hour’ or by ‘Day’ and the list will show you the total Burst Pack minutes used for the period and the peak users (Figure 3). If you select ‘View List’ you can se the room that were active at that time and maybe do a little sleuthing on how the licenses were being used. You can also download the higher-level report from this screen.
